(AFP News)- Padma Kanwar Bhatti, sitting among a classroom of boys during a lesson in a small school in Devda, in the Rajasthan state district of Jaisalmer, which has one of the worst female sex ratios. As the only girl in her noisy classroom of 22 boys, Padma is one defiant symbol of the toll exacted by India's deadly preference for male children.

Men Can Stop Rape Launches “Where Do You Stand?” Campaign (WORLD/UNITED STATES)
Men Can Stop Rape launched their new bystander intervention campaign geared towards addressing sexual violence on college campuses. “Where Do You Stand?” uses a number of tools such as trainings, posters, and media materials to encourage young men to become active bystanders to end sexual violence.
International Women's Health Coalition names FRANÇOISE GIRARD New President (WORLD)
The International Women's Health Coalition (IWHC) has named Françoise Girard, long-time women's champion in the fields of global health and human rights, as its new President. Girard has a distinguished history in these fields with a particular focus on women's health, sexual and reproductive rights, sexuality and HIV/AIDS.

The French, Dutch and English version of “Lesbian Health: Myths and Realities” were released in September 2011. We are now pleased to inform you that ILGA has completed the Spanish version. Local groups adapted and translated it into Bahasi (Indonesia), and Filipino.
